Tomorrow, Sony Interactive Entertainment is hosting its annual PlayStation State of Play for the Winter to give an overview of what we can expect to come in the early parts of the year. There are high expectations for this event since it is over sixty minutes long.
Insomniac Games coincidentally posted a quick clip from Wolverine on X (Twitter) just over a day after the presentation was announced. A fan responded asking when we are expecting to get more information.
The developer responded, saying “Spring 2026,” indicating we will not be getting more information for Marvel’s Wolverine on Thursday. Many expected the possibility of learning the release date for the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer.
It’s hard to know what could be at the upcoming PlayStation State of Play, whether it’s third-party appearances or first-party appearances. Rumors have speculated that we will see Capcom with a new Devil May Cry entry, and Square Enix could show up with more Final Fantasy news.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is expected to be at the State of Play, as a leak occurred on Steam for the game, revealing new details.
Marvel’s Wolverine is planned to release in Fall 2026.
