This past week, Microsoft and its first-party network that is Xbox Game Studios presented a handful of titles that is anticipated to be featured for the coming Xbox Series X in the next year or two. In that, we saw projects such as Playground Games’ Fable and Turn 10’s Forza Motorsport both being officially revealed for the next-generation systems.

However, not all teams from Xbox Game Studios presented that day. One being Compulsion Games. The team responsible for 2013’s Contrast and the more recent We Happy Few has been quiet regarding what its next major title will be exactly. Although the studio has yet to spare its next new project, Compulsion Games in spring of last year has revealed new DLC for its 2018 title.

And while we are still left with no details from the team during the recent Xbox Games Showcase, the team does have plans for something bigger. What exactly that is happens to be the development space as the studio will be moving to a larger site to work. The new comes from Canadian publication La Presse which reported the story. Thankfully, Twitter user @klobrille happened to translate a portion of the writing for better understanding.

Compulsion takes advantage of the change to grow. The workforce will increase from 60 to 90 people over the next 18 months. The new area is large enough to accommodate 120 workers or more.

Seeing that the team plans to include new employees and even supplies a workspace to bring an additional 30 people to its staff later on, this could insinuate its next project is even greater in scale to the last two projects from the studio. However, determining what exactly this new project might be is still difficult since no information has been provided as of writing.

In the meantime, if you have yet to play Compulsion Games’ latest title We happy Few – Rectify Gaming suggests you read our full review for the game. Mary Walrath pens her time with the game by concluding that “the revelation of the story arcs are riddled with passes at subtly and suspense that became overpowering — the stories themselves, the slow creeping horror and some sense of impenetrable human spirit — have something to say.” You can read the full review by heading here.

What do you hope to see next from Compulsion Games?
