XDefiant Has A Watch Dogs Faction

XDefiant, Ubisoft’s free-to-play shooter that was released on May 21, 2024, has been popular among fans of first-person shooters. The game has been compared to Call of Duty because it looks to have elements that were inspired, but one difference is that XDefiant features different Factions. These Factions come with special abilities and each is different from the rest.

There are Factions based on The Division, Far Cry, and Splinter Cell, and come with abilities players of those games would be familiar with. The other Faction is DedSec from the Watch Dogs series and this one is locked for players when they first play XDefiant, but can unlock the Faction in two different ways.

The abilities of DedSec – Cyber Attackers include Lockout, Hijack, Spiderbot, and Fabricator. Here they are detailed below:

XDefiant DedSec Faction Abilities

Lockout – Ultra – Prevent enemies from using their ability & Ultra in an area of effect.

Hijack – Hack enemy-deployed abilities and make them your own.

Spiderbot – Activated Ability – Deploy a Spiderbot that will target and stun the nearest foe via facehug.

Fabricator – After a device is deployed, the Fabricator prints a new one.

The Faction is more related to Watch Dogs 2 and will be pretty nostalgic to those who have been a fan of the series from Ubisoft.

The three different characters in the Faction are Sebastian, Gia, and Jing. These characters were not featured in Watch Dogs 2.
