RGG Studios and Sega have already started their support of the Nintendo Switch 2. During the direct, they announced Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut will be coming to the console and what looks to be a timed exclusive. It has been reported that the game will run at 4K 60 FPS while in docked mode, which is already a step above the PS4 version of Yakuza 0.
The developer also announced on X (Formerly Twitter) that Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut will have a few new features. It’s going to have never-before-scene cutscenes, Red Light Raid online 4-player online mode with up to 60 unlockable characters, English voiceover, and French, Italian, German, and Spanish text.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is the definitive edition of the critically acclaimed origin story. RGG Studios has not indicated when it will come to other platforms at this point.
Other third-party games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 include Borderlands 4, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Civilization 7, Split Fiction, and more.
The Switch 2 will cost $449.99 and will release on June 5, 2025, along with Mario Kart World and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, among other games.
