Closing in onto Fall of this eventful year for 2019, The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley has officially announced that this December’s annual ceremony event will be hosted at the Microsoft Theater yet again to showcase the most reputable entries that were released in the gaming industry this year.
Keighley has worked with orchestrating The Game Awards since its titular debut back in 2014, but has worked prior with a similar awards show under Spike TV as a producer for the ceremony until the network company abandoned the event later in 2013. He has also organized the yearly E3 Coliseum event as well as this year’s first Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation in Cologne, Germany.

In a separate tweet from the awards show host, Keighley details shares his vision for creativity in the gaming industry as he elaborates on his expedition around the globe to ask developers why they still create games in the current climate of tragedy we see every day. “No matter what happens in our lives or in the world, the act of creation is a deeply personal, spiritual, and fulfilling pursuit, filled with sacrifice and challenge, but fueled by the opportunity for impact. At their best, games make us feel alive.”
Leaning towards the transition into Autumn, it is expected that notable studios alongside Keighley himself will share more about the upcoming event later this December. As well as an expected musical performance centered around on of this year’s largest title will be present as seen with Red Dead Redemption 2‘s score back in 2018.
2019’s The Game Awards will commence its 5th anniversary ceremony on December 12, 2019.
