It’s the second half of 2019 for speedrunners as this year’s Summer Games Done Quick charity event has came and went this past week. And as like the Awesome Games Done Quick event that took place at the beginning of the year, this year’s Summer show beat last year’s previous record as well.

The week-long, livestreamed event kicked off last Sunday on June 23rd leading up to yesterday evening (June 29th) as the final donation ended up just over $3 million in donations.

As of writing this, the donation counter has ticked an estimate of $3,006,485 which is dived between nearly 51,000 contributors to this year’s event. Compared to 2018’s SGDQ, 2019 earned roughly $900,000 more compared to the year prior. Donations can still be submitted, which you can do by going to the page here.

Ober the course of the event, traction didn’t pick-up until Thursday as the charity reach $1 million following with the $2 million marks which was reached about a day after. And not lo long following that, $3 million was made just before the event officially ended.

Do you have a favorite speedrun that was shown at this Summer charity event?
