Xbox has been around since 2001 and through the years of the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X there have been a lot of limited edition consoles. Microsoft has been known to release consoles that are given away to a very limited amount of people even as low as just one person. You may not realize how many different special edition consoles there are and we are going to list at least 5 Xbox consoles that you’ll never own.
5. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Xbox Series S

In April 2022, Microsoft partnered with Paramount to give away this one-of-a-kind Xbox Series S featuring Sonic The Hedgehog 2 which featured Sonic and Knuckles on the console and in the form of fuzzy controllers. This one became controversial over the Summer because it was reported that one of the winners traded it into Gamestop
From our understanding, Microsoft gave a couple of these away and still it is a console you don’t see every day and it’ll be one that is never sold. The neat part about this one was the fuzzy controllers that put a unique touch on the whole partnership.
4. Cuphead Xbox One S

The Cuphead Xbox One S is one to remember that was given away by Microsoft in celebration of the release of Cuphead in 2017. The giveaway took place during the holiday season and you can actually see the post on X (formerly Twitter).
From our understanding, there was only one of these made to give away to fans. This one is definitely worthy of a mention just on the color scheme of the console and controller representing Mugman and Cuphead.
3. Wonka Xbox Series X

The Wonka Xbox Series X might be the most desired console that Microsoft has come out with in some time. Not only did they come up with this custom Wonka console, but it came with a storefront display as seen in the movie and it came with an edible controller. This was in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and a winner has been picked, but that remains a secret for now.
2. Titanfall Xbox One

Titanfall debuted exclusively on Xbox One when it was released on March 11, 2014, and while fans were able to purchase a limited edition controller, the console was never for sale. Respawn Entertainment rewarded their employees at the time with the Titanfall Xbox One console and it’s a beauty. It looks like something they would sell along with the controller, but that ended up not happening.
Don’t look now, but Titanfall turns 10 years old in March 2024.
1. Diablo IV Xbox Series X

This Diablo IV Xbox Series X is for sure one of a kind from Microsoft. This console design blends Diablo lore with classic art to create something as beautifully dark as the world of Diablo. It’s a one-of-a-kind Xbox Series X that was given away in October 2023 just shortly after the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
This list was created in no order and there are dozens of other Xbox consoles that we could mention, but these were some that came to mind.
