As of recent, many fans for some of Konami’s most prevalent franchises continue to be insistent that the firm is working to offer an up bring of PlayStation-era titles to modern hardware. Sourced from a rumor on 4Chan earlier this year, one supposed employee at Konami discloses that the firm has been approached by Sony Interactive Entertainment to acquire publishing rights for Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and Castlevania.

Howbeit, there has yet to be a fruition of the claims or even clarification from Sony on the matters of the rumors. But despite that, it was not long until Konami themselves specifically denounced the possibility of Silent Hill returning – ultimately deplatforming the chances of the latter series facing the same treatment.

And while the one rumor does not look to be accurate, Konami does seem to be involved with reiterating on the franchises through another approach. This week, it was revealed through the Taiwan Game Rating Committee that a slew of entries are listed for PC. Here is all that was uncovered:

Metal Gear
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Konami’s Collector’s Series: Castlevania and Contra
-Castlevania
-Castlevania II Simon’s Quest
-Castlevania III Dracula’s Curse
-Contra
-Super C

While not much else can be provided on the recent listings, it can be gathered that Konami is preparing to unleash more of its epic releases to current systems. Although not a complete reworking that many might be hoping to hear, the firm looks to be preserving the integrity and character of the aforementioned titles which should count for something.

Given that all entries that makes up the listed Konami’s Collector’s Series are already available separately, the bundle will pair the two together. As for the lingering Metal Gear properties, those as of yet are not properly offered on PC let alone console. So there is hope users on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch all find these new listings playable in the future.

What of these listings are you most excited to see on the ratings board?
