
So far, The Witcher on Netflix is already thriving with one season that debuted back in December 2019. However, the live-action television series is branching to new avenues. In that, there is a spin-off, six-episode series that is told to take place centuries before the story fans are so familiar for Geralt of Rivia.
Additionally, Netflix most recently disclose new details on the coming season 2 for The Witcher. In that, the next bundle of episodes is to arrive by mid December later this holiday. In the synopsis provided by Netflix, Princess Cirllia and Geralt returns to Kaer Morhen following the presumed death of Yennefer. But, more is still on the way with the promised anime movie on the way as well.
Previously, the production was shared to be titled ‘The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf’ and is to be conjured by Studio Mir, responsible for The Legend of Korra. Now, the film is said to hit Netflix next month. You can watch the teaser trailer in the video below:
“The world of ‘The Witcher’ expands in this 2D anime film that explores a powerful new threat facing the Continent,” reads the summary overview for the show from Netflix. While most of the features regarding The Witcher are told in television form, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is a animated film. The page tells that the movie will be 1 hour, 22 minutes long.
Alike the announcement for The Witcher anime being made at WitcherCon, CD Projekt Red also told that The Witcher Netflix series is expecting to be adapted into DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition for Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5. You can read the full report by heading here.
