While Fall Guys continues to be its own entity over on PlayStation & PC, the game is still on the way for the latter Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Originally, Microsoft alongside Mediatonic announced that Fall Guys is planned to ship for Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S this summer. Similarly, the developer alongside Nintendo also shared a similar tale for Nintendo Switch as well elsewhere.
However, the developer did later state that the game is facing extra need for development time and pushed the release to later in 2021. But, Mediatonic does rephrase by promising cross-play will be offered when the new versions arrive. At that time as well, Mediatonic also held its fourth content season for Fall Guys. But now as we step into mid July, the team is prepared for the next Season.
This past Tuesday, Mediatonic shadowdropped Season 5 with a new cinematic trailer layered with Indiana Jones references and plenty of zany beans. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“The Blunderdome Construction Crew have let their imaginations run wild with six delightfully adventurous Rounds— including an all new Final! Each is packed with fresh mechanics, tactical innovations and some of our most ridiculous obstacles to date…,” the team writes. Those new maps are Treetop Tumble, Stompin’ Ground, Lost Temple, Lily Leapers, Bubble Trouble, and Pegwin Pool Party.
Additionally, little detail has been shared as to the first move from Epic Games since the acquisition of Mediatonic by the Fortnite developer. But, there is emphasis on the limited-time events on the way for Season 5 and results might be presented then. You can read the full report by heading here.
