Tomb Raider Creator Announces New Dimension Adventure Title Dream Cycle

Although many fans of the Tomb Raider franchise in the last decade enjoyed the rebooted trilogy from developer Crystal Dynamics, the original creator of the IP is working on an entirely new project. Through a self-made venture Cathuria Games, Toby Gard shared to be revealing his next major creation later on at Gamescom this week, one tweet hinted at.

From Tomb Raider composer Nathan McCree, fans had to tune in to discover what is on the menu next for the industry. Came Gamescom Opening Night Live on Wednesday revealed that both Gard and McCree alongside publisher Raw Fury is working on a new title, Dream Cycle. In sum, the game is said to be a never-ending experience as adventure fuels for more exploration.

“Dream Cycle is the foundation of a journey into the endless unknown, an ever growing portal into adventure.” said Toby Gard. “Join our community of explorers and help us build a new type of Action Adventure game, where gods, monsters and magic filter through the psyche of the modern world.”

Raw Fury CEO Jónas Antonsson added, “Dream Cycle represented a chance to reshape and reinvent a genre within the games industry, with the person that had done exactly that once before. It holds great promise.” Noted, the game is to enter Early Access on Steam which implies that the complete, full release has yet to be made.

While not entirely connected to Gard or McCree, Shadow of the Tomb Raider fairly recently received a new update. In that, the game welcomed next-generation patchwork which introduced a better experience for both PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series machines. You can read the full report by heading here.
