In the reign of all things from Square Enix, the publisher rightly continues to fuel the Final Fantasy train as more projects for the IP is underway. However, the Japanese firm previously decided to revisit one beloved franchise with a follow-up to its decade-old sibling. In that, it was announced back in November that The World Ends with You is receiving a new release.
Titled ‘NEO: The World Ends with You’, players can revisit Shibuya as protagonist Rindo as he fights off the Reapers Game once more in the new experience. Scheduled and released for late July, the title made its way to both Nintendo Switch & PlayStation 4 at the time of launching. Now in a recent announcement from Epic Games Store, PC is now on the menu.
Over on twitter, the Epic Games-owned storefront revealed that NEO: The World Ends with You is set to arrive at the end of the month exclusively for Epic Games Store.
“Rindo comes to the grim realization that his life is on the line when he is forced to compete in the so-called ‘Reapers’ Game,’” the game’s description reads on Epic Games Store. “There’s no telling how this tale will unfold—but it’s up to you to find out! Put your psychic prowess to the test as you duke it out on the stylishly animated streets of Shibuya.”
In recent weeks, Square Enix continues to roll out more of its published work over to PC in an continuously ongoing trend. The most recent comes from its Bravely Default II release made in 2020 as the game now breaks the sound barrier into Steam. You can read the full report by heading here.
