In the range of things that pulled the impossible, Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky is one of those instances. Despite the game’s initial showcase and later release back in 2015, the title has proven to be one of the most exhilarating and thriving entries from the last console generation. With a steady flow of free updates alongside extending support to more platforms, Hello Games is still offering such more than half a decade later.

Previously, we witnessed the game feature settlement building for No Man’s Sky in the Frontiers Update back in September. Aside from the evident addition, there is also the introduction of population AI for your new home no matter where among the stars. But, that might have only proved to be a catalyst for something greater in its latest announcement this week.

This week Hello Games reveals its next update, ‘Sentinel’. The new title update emphasizes on mechanized robots and stretches to include riding inside or even engaging in combat. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Fight alongside your own personal robotic companions and battle an array of new foes in the SentinelUpdate! Introducing a total overhaul of weapon systems; new lore and stories; all-new Sentinel enemies and combat behaviours; the ability to reprogram and adopt your very own friendly AI drone,” the overview for the new update shares.

One perk to the update also introduces reworks to the visual effects for plasma tools/weapons including the Mining Beam, Boltcaster, Plasma Spitter, Blaze Javelin, Plasma Launcher, and Geology Cannon. The title update also to feature the welcome for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution which will improve the rendering technology and even benefit the performance in-game as well.

Recently, No Man’s Sky during the latest Nintendo Direct shared the game will finally making its debut for Nintendo Switch. The game is slated to launch later this summer with more details to arise then. You can read the full report by heading here.
