In the growing world of Cuphead, the Studio MDHR title has expanded beyond just a video game now. This past month in February, the niché bullet hell platformer went on to release its first season of The Cuphead Show on Netflix. With the game’s unique spin incorporating the 1930’s animated style for its gameplay, the same class is also found watching the TV series on the streaming platform.
So now with the first 12 episodes available now for The Cuphead Show, it is likely a second season will follow the first. From Netflix this week, the firm announced the show has been renewed and a second season will be on the way.
Entertaining what could come for season two is left unanswered for the time being. Howbeit, it is expected voice actors Tru Valentino, Frank Todaro, Grey Griffin, and Luke Millington-Drake will reprise their roles as Cuphead, Mugman, Chalice, and The Devil respectively. Additionally, it is anticipated that more unique settings established from the 2017 release will be further interpreted in the next season.
Elsewhere for the base Cuphead game, it was revealed that DLC ‘The Delicious Last Course’ is set to arrive later this June. The add-on experience introduces a new isle and playable character Chalice who so far has received the most screen time in the Netflix TV series rather than the game it is based on.
From Netflix this week, the firm has shared its plans to continue its campaign entering the video game industry. This time the company went on to acquire Next Games (Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales). You can read the full report by heading here.
