In the midst of the Final Fantasy VII Remake momentum, Square Enix in June announced that the second part of a full trilogy is on the way. The sequel titled ‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’ is a continuation of the 2020 release and is even considered to be a good starting point for new players according to creative director Tatsuya Nomura.
Additionally, the IP is also facing a new Crisis series title later this year with Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. The game was announced back in early 2021 with a release window aimed for this year. However, there is more for fans of the standalone series moving forward. During the recent Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary livestream, the PlayStation Portable title CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII is being remastered.
