
From developer Dontnod Entertainment, the French developer is slowly transitioning to a new approach for future work. For starters, the firm announced the rebrand to the original ‘Don’t Nod’ name. Additionally, the game studio also pressed episodic projects are not in its playbook moving forward. This comes as a surprise as the company’s most popular IP comes from the success of Life is Strange.
However, Don’t Nod is going out with one last bang for the IP – a Nintendo Switch port. Originally, the game was announces as part of ‘Life is Strange: Remastered Collection’ for all platforms. But, it was not long until the firm confirmed the Nintendo port would be coming after the Xbox & PlayStation versions.
Now this week, the long-awaited port is now available under the moniker ‘Arcadia Bay Collection’. You can watch the release date trailer in the video below:
“Firstly I’d like to recognise DON’T NOD for creating the incredible original Life is Strange, and offer thanks to Deck Nine Games for taking the emotional on-screen performance of these beloved characters to a new level in these new editions,” Square Enix External Studios co-head Jon Brooke states.
“Bringing these award-winning stories to the Nintendo Switch for the very first time was essential for us, as was the care the Deck Nine team have shown during their development. We’re excited to welcome a whole host of new players to these must-play games.” The game took a long time coming since it debuted for iOS all the way back in 2017. All-in-all, it’s nice this finally arrived.
