The latest Nintendo Direct featured more Mario Kart 8 Deluxe news that detailed what’s to come in Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass. Not only will new tracks be introduced with this update, but a new character is on the way and it’s Birdo, a classic Nintendo character.

Birdo was originally introduced to the Mario Kart series in Double Dash which launched on the Nintendo GameCube.

The only course revealed so far with Wave 4 was Yoshi’s Island and it’s expected to release in Spring 2023. We will learn the full details of this round of DLC as we get closer to its release.

In other news, Metroid Prime Remaster was officially announced during the Nintendo Direct and it’s available today for $39.99 USD.
