One of the most ongoing rumors and desperate desires from Konami fans is a new Metal Gear Solid game. Since the departure of Hideo Kojima from the publisher nearly a decade ago now, fans remain hungry for new content. Last October, the Japanese firm did answer on fans’ hope for more Silent Hill with several projects revealed: Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill Townfall, Silent Hill f just to name a few.
Additionally, the other claims made prior suggested that a remake for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was underway. Rumors suggested the game to be in development for quite some time – mentioning Virtuos Games to helm the project. At the same time, one developer appeared to confirm the rumor to be true. Elsewhere, a voice actor earlier this year told an announcement pertaining to Metal Gear Solid was due in the “coming weeks”.
Recently, a new source of claims from Xbox Era’s Nick Baker reveals the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is due for its announcement. He shared this during a recent podcast episode stating that the game will be shared at the alleged PlayStation showcase in the near weeks. You can watch the segment in the video below:
“Another game I heard might be at the PlayStation showcase is- the rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 remake: I’ve heard that might be at this PlayStation showcase and might also have some exclusivity with it as well,” he explains. Even more, Windows Central’s Jez Corden also mentions to hear a similar rumor with Silent Hill & Castlevania possibly attached as well.
Noted, this claims appears to be an ongoing pattern which sourced to one claim made just over three years ago. At the time it told the PlayStation firm would purchase the rights to offer exclusive titles for the platform. While it is unsure if that is the case currently, it does not discount the possibility to still be unique to PlayStation nonetheless. You can read the full report by heading here.
