Dead Island 2 released April 21 this year and during its first weekend the game saw 1 million units sell after years of waiting for the sequel. Embracer Group’s CEO Lars Wingefors reported that Dead Island 2 has now sold over 2 million copies and has been a nice success for PLAION and Deep Silver.

“I am happy to state that the game has now reached a sell-out of well over 2 million units. It is rewarding to see that the decision to give the studio time to polish the game has paid off.”

Dead Island 2 has been Deep Silver and PLAION’s biggest launch ever and it continues to succeed over a month into its life.

Dead Island 2 pulls off a miracle with a mix of great combat and an eccentric cast of memorable characters. You can check out our official Dead Island review where we gave it a 9/10 here.

You can get Dead Island 2 for PC, Xbox Series XlS and PlayStation 5.
