Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III from Sledgehammer Games and Activision is prepared to drop on November 10, 2023, and it’s going to launch with 16 modernized versions of the Multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). In a recent video, Art Director, Matt Abbott and Design Director Zach Hodson provided a behind-the-scenes look at how the team is modernizing the original maps from over a decade ago.

During this Intel Drop, it was discussed how Call of Duty plans to maintain the authenticity and core design of old maps to fit into modern gameplay. It was a worry for most players when this announcement was first made, but it seems like they’re making the much-needed changes to make it all work.

The following maps coming from MW2 (2009) to Modern Warfare III are Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Karachi, Highrise, Invasion, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, Wasteland.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s multiplayer will be fully revealed in October.
