The Xbox Design Lab might allow players to customize Xbox consoles in the future

Recent Documents leaked from Microsoft shared plans for an Xbox Series XlS mid-generation refresh along with a new Xbox controller and plans for a next-gen console in 2028. Part of these leaks shared other planned information the company may have come in the pipeline.

Players might be able to customize their Xbox Series X or S according to this image found in the leaked documents. In the section “Not Currently Funded/Resourced,” you’ll notice project Uther where it says Console Customization via XDL meaning you’d be able to customize an Xbox via Xbox Design Lab.

Xbox Design Lab was introduced in 2016 where you can customize an Xbox controller creating the color combination you’ve always wanted. This year Microsoft introduced the Xbox Elite Series 2 to the Design Lab providing more variety rather than just personalizing the standard Xbox Wireless Controller.

Recently Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X Console Wraps where you can make your Xbox Series X look unique with 3 brand new designs.
