It had been announced that a remake of Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic was in development in 2021 and since then has received delays. Aspyr Games was initially the studio to work on the project but then was welcomed to Saber Interactive confirming it would be a PlayStation 5 timed exclusive.

Industry insider, Jeff Grubb discussed on the Game Mess Mornings podcast that the Knights Of The Old Republic Remake is currently not in development. On the show, Grubb said the following:

“This game is not being worked on right now, full stop,” Grubb said. “This game is not being worked on in any way, at any studio.”

He also mentions Sony and Lucas Film/Disney as potential options to take over this project that hasn’t gotten done.

It was interesting in October the Knights Of The Old Republic Remake trailer was taken down from YouTube “due to licensed music”. You can watch where Jeff Grubb talks about it on YouTube or below:
