League of Legends fans are some of the most diehard fans of a Video Game there is, myself being one of them, and even worked on some Behavioural related Projects (Tribunal) with Riot Games. But after the recent announcement Riot has made for the Hall of Legends Event, fans are beyond Outraged.
To commemorate the best of the best players, LOL Esports has created The Hall of Legends and picked Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, to be its Inaggriual Legend and celebrate his incredible 10-year career.
As part of being inducted into the Hall of Legends, Inductees are honored in-game with a custom event and cosmetics reflecting the mark they’ve made on the Rift. With Faker being inducted this means there will be an event pass chronicling his carer plus three Ahri collections with all-new features – from unique takedown counters to tower finishers.
But this is the part that is pissing League of Legends fans off, Although many League of Legends players love Faker, and are happy that Riot is giving part of the sales to Faker and his team (both inductees and their teams receive 30% of the revenue generated from sales of the HoL event pass and commemorative collections.), The cost of these Skins are ABSOLUTELY INSANE !!!
Below I’m going to break down the Costs of each option/Skin/Event Pass and explain what’s included in each:
Event Pass:
The Hall of Legends 2024 pass is packed with earnable content across 100 levels. The ultimate prize for dedicated players is the exclusive Faker-themed Mythic LeBlanc skin.
By progressing through the pass, you can unlock a variety of exciting rewards, including:
- Risen Legend LeBlanc Skin
- SKT T1 Zed, Ryze and Syndra Skins
- 125 Mythic Essence
- 14 Faker-ific Icons & Emotes
- “Broccoli Baron” Title
- Hide on bush Ward
- Unkillable Demon King Banner
- 6 Orbs
The pass itself costs 1,950 RP and unlocks a treasure trove of rewards as you progress through the levels as seen above.
Here comes the part people are freaking out about ; 1,950 RP which if we use the Riot Points calculator here , is $15 USD which isn’t the worst …. but wait …. it gets way way way worse !

The worst part of all this? Faker himself doesn’t believe in using skins and has only used a Skin once , which he claims was a miss-click
