Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Netflix Series Airs This October

The classic Tomb Raider IP is being celebrated especially in 2024. Already, the remastered trilogy already rolled out on most major systems. “Whether you’re a long-time fan reliving nostalgic memories or a newcomer discovering Lara Croft’s adventures for the first time, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered delivers a satisfying blend of classic gameplay and modern enhancements, making it a must-play for any fan of the iconic franchise,” our review reads.

Moreover, there are transmedia plans already in full effect for the IP. Recently, Amazon announced it has officially greenlit the live-action TV series for Tomb Raider. Casting for Lara Croft has yet to be made, but Fleabag writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge is to pen the script. Additionally, Netflix is also preparing the upcoming animated series coming to the streamer as well. 

This week, Netflix revealed a new trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft providing an October release date for the TV series. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Following the events of the Survivor Trilogy, Lara Croft (voiced by Hayley Atwell) has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures,” the synopsis reads. “But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self, and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.”
