We are now living in a world where video game adaptations are starting to take over and be successful. Over the last few years we have received the Fallout, The Last of Us, and Knuckles TV Series and then we’ve gotten the Super Mario Bros. Movie and the Sonic films. It looks like FromSoftware is hinting about interest in having an Elden Ring movie in the future.
FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki acknowledged potential interest in doing a movie, but they would need a strong partner to make it a reality.

Here is what Hidetaka Miyazaki told The Guardian in an interview:
“I don’t see any reason to deny another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, a movie for example”
“But I don’t think myself, or From Software, have the knowledge or ability to produce something in a different medium. So that’s where a very strong partner would come into play.”
“We’d have to build a lot of trust and agreement on whatever it is we’re trying to achieve, but there’s interest, for sure.”
There are a lot of options out there for the developer to partner with. In the meantime, Elden Ring continues to dominate with over 25 million copies sold in its two years. The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion already sold over 5 million units worldwide in just its first three days of release.
Would you watch an Elden Ring movie?
