Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games have released a new MultiVersus trailer that revealed the first look at gameplay for upcoming fighter, Beetlejuice. The mischievous demon from the Beetlejuice franchise that started with the 1988 Beetlejuice movie will come to MultiVersus on August 20 as part of Season 2: Back in Time.

Here is an overview of the new fighter coming to MultiVersus via Warner Bros. Games:

Beetlejuice is an assassin-class fighter who will deliver his unique blend of undead charm, straight from the Afterlife. In the new video, the shapeshifting “Bio Exorcist” deploys ghoulish attacks and creepy-crawly companions to send a chill up the Multiverse’s spine, including his ability to summon beetles and sandworms to assist during battle, protrude spikes from all over his body to inflict pain, and charge up devastating overhead hammers to slam down on opponents. The trailer also shows off the Beetlejuice Matador variant, along with the Beetlejuice-inspired Afterlife variants that will be available for a variety of MultiVersus characters in conjunction with the Beetlejuice release on Aug. 20.

Samurai Jack was added at the start of Season 2: Back in Time which was first revealed at EVO 2024. The new season brought a Ranked Mode for Singles and Doubles.
