Come the release of Sloclap’s Sifu, players were energetic about the experience offered in-game. Progression comes through the age of the protagonist which offers mastered combat as he grows wiser. In our review for the game, it was scored 9.1/10. “SIFU’s tight combat focus and gorgeous level design creates a compelling action experience. Sloclap has created something new, fresh and exciting to bring the beat em up genre to the next generation.”
More interesting is that the latest Sloclap release among others would be featured as part of an anthology series on Prime Video. Secret Level starred notable franchises in video games including God of War, Armored Core, and Mega Man. Enough so that the response for Secret Level did receive its green light for another season as well.
In a recent report from Deadline, Sifu is now on the way to being adapted into a live-action film. T.S. Nowlin (The Maze Runner, The Adam Project) is said to pen the script alongside Chad Stahelski (John Wick) is enlisted to produce under 87Eleven Entertainment with Story Kitchen. Subsequently, Goldberg is also attached to the recently established Sleeping Dogs film that Story Kitchen has also obtained the rights to produce with Simu Liu to star in.
