Splitgate 2 Open Beta Coming In May

1047 Games concluded its brief Open Alpha test for Splitgate 2 last weekend across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Alpha had over 500K games played, 59 million total kills, 20 million portals spawned, and a lot more. 

The developer announced following the success of the Alpha that there will be a Splitgate 2 Open Beta set to take place in May. 

“We’ll share more details as soon as we can, but for now, just mark your calendars for May. To be safe, maybe just take the whole month off now? We promise we’ll share the exact dates as soon as we can. You’re not going to want to miss it. The Open Beta is going to have way more than the Open Alpha. Way more.”

When Is The Splitgate 2 Open Beta?

The Splitgate 2 Open Beta does not have any set dates yet. All we know for now is that it will be taking place in May 2025 on all platforms. 1047 Games seems to be happy with the feedback they got from players who played during Open Alpha and said “It was a big improvement from the Closed Alpha in Summer 2024”.

A release date for Splitgate 2 has not been shared yet by the developer. The Open Beta is expected to be even bigger since it was advertised that the last alpha was less than half of what the full game will be.
