
It is no question the influence that PlayStation’s God of War has. From our review for the latest game – God of War Ragnarok – we scored the title a 10/10. “Kratos and Atreus are the heart and steel that forge God of War Ragnarök into a flawless and fitting end to the Norse Saga.” It later went on to be one of the fastest-selling entries for the firm exceeding 5.1 million in its first week.
Additionally, the IP has branched to television as well. Most notably, God of War was featured in Amazon Prime Video’s Secret Level which coined an entire episode based on the PlayStation series. Kratos is to also star in his own TV adaptation at some point too. In fall 2024, it was revealed that production on the show was rebooted at Amazon.
Now in a new string of details to released from the most recent Sony business segment meeting, it was revealed that God of War is ranked the IP with the most engagement recorded for any PlayStation franchise. You can view the image below:

The list is comprised of PlayStation’s most notable franchises. It lists Destiny, God of War, Gran Turismo, Horizon, Marvel’s Spider-Man, MLB The Show. The Last of Us, and Uncharted. What is more surprising is that the top three consists of God of War, MLB The Show, and God of War in numerical order. IPs like Horizon, Uncharted, and The Last of Us stick at the back of the list.
Exploring what PlayStation also disclosed from the recent business segment meeting, it was discovered that PlayStation 5 engagement finally leads against PlayStation 4. After nearly five years, the lead has been handed to the latest hardware. You can read the full report by heading here.
