The arrival of Minecraft in theaters has continued to keep the game in the limelight. After the explosive response to the film in the box office and theaters, Warner Bros. issued a new ‘Block Party’ screening for fans to return to the theater and scream as loud as they want during the showing. Followed by the success of the film, it was also reported talks of a sequel with Jared Hess is also in the pipeline as well.
For the game itself, Minecraft did face a massive bump in users thanks to the movie. Then, it was said about a 75 percent increase in activity was recorded for the game. Developer Mojang Studios has also remained busy supporting the title too. For April Fool’s Day, it released ‘CraftMine’, a new mode that enables you to develop your own roguelike experience in-game.
Now this week, Mojang Studios returns with a new update for Minecraft. Issuing ‘Chase the Skies’, the new update welcomes new rideable Ghasts as well as the long-awaited enhanced visual mode for the game. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:
“This drop not only brings an exciting flying mount to Minecraft but opens up the skies for exploring, building – and more. Raise your ghastling with care and it’ll let you soar with friends above the clouds once fully grown. Build high into the sky, leash a caravan of camels together, uncover a new music disc, find wandering friends with the Player Locator bar, and more,” Mojang Studios writes.
“Vibrant Visuals graphics upgrade is currently only available for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. […] Marketplace Add-Ons, Skins, and Persona items will work with Vibrant Visuals, however, Worlds and Texture Packs are not compatible with the new mode at this time. Splitscreen multiplayer is not supported with Vibrant Visuals and the game will switch to Fancy or Simple rendering if multiple players are joined locally.”
