The reign of Amazon continues as the shopping conglomerate enters different markets. In recent time, the firm has left a big impression on gaming with its Prime Video venture. Already, Fallout has become one of the most recognized video game adaptations from its delivery and consistency with the source material. It even greenlit another Bethesda TV show – Wolfenstein with Kilter Films as well.

Now, Amazon Games is also shipping titles as well. Its current tentpole release is New World. Already a namesake on PC since arriving earlier in 2021, the game has also expanded to console. New World: Aeternum shipped for Xbox & PlayStation last October. And in addition, Amazon Games did form a Montreal studio back in 2021 enlisting Rainbow Six veteran Xavier Marquis for its formation.

Recently, Amazon Games Montreal unveiled its new project. Announcing March of Giants, it’s a new free-to-play MOBA and will be receiving a closed alpha later this week. The playtest will take place on PC from September 1st to September 10th. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“March of Giants represents our vision to bring the epic scale of war to the MOBA genre. We wanted to create something that captures the strategic depth of traditional MOBAs while introducing innovative mechanics that let players command massive armies and deploy tactical structures on the battlefield. This has been a passion project for our team for years, and we’re thrilled to finally share it with players,” Marquis said in a statement.

Amazon Games vice president Christoph Hartmann added: “Xavier and the Montreal team have an incredible vision for March of Giants, and we believe in their ability to bring a fresh perspective to the MOBA genre. The team’s passion and experience in creating innovative competitive games is evident in what they’ve built so far. We’re excited to start gathering player feedback during this Closed Alpha phase, which will be crucial in shaping the future of the game.”
