Escape from Tarkov Steam

Escape from Tarkov is one of the most realistic and popular tactical extraction shooters available in the market. According to a recent tease from Battlestate Games, the game is coming to Steam.

Earlier in August, Escape from Tarkov also got news of a full launch with the 1.0 version coming on November 15. This comes after nearly 8 years of closed beta access. 1.0 release for Tarkov aims at the biggest changes coming to the game and story content. Story content will include full cutscenes, new tasks, and a new map, Terminal. However, Terminal will be a single-player map, and I’m excited to test out how that plays out.

A 1.0 version release date reveal video for Escape from Tarkov was also shared by Battestate Games.

Battlestate Games Head of Studio, Nikita Buyanov, shared the news of Escape from Tarkov’s Steam Page on X. The official Battlestate Games page on X also did a teaser post for the EFT Steam release. However, the Steam page is not live, and according to Nikita, it will go live soon.

We might see a revision in pricing, so we can hope to see EFT for a cheaper price on Steam. On Battle State Launcher, the game costs a fortune with different editions to get early access. Moreover, there is no information as of now on Steam Deck compatibility and Deck Verified. But given the history of Battle Eye issues, there might be some struggles to play it in native SteamOS mode.

As for Escape from Tarkov: Arena, we might get to see similar editions like Edge of Darkness and Unheard Edition that support free access. Given the price of the controversial Unheard Edition, which costs 250 USD, there might be a price change for that version. Whether the PvE mode will be available as another game on Steam or included in Escape from Tarkov is still a question.

Hi, I’m Ali. I started gaming with Max Payne, and it set the tone for my interest in darker, more immersive experiences. I mostly play soulslikes, RPGs, and FPS titles that focus on tight mechanics and pacing.

I have a strong appreciation for game soundtracks and how they shape the overall experience. I’m also a long-time horror fan, across both games and films, with a preference for atmosphere-driven storytelling. This space reflects that passion, exploring games through both their mechanics and the atmosphere they create.
