Ubisoft recently acknowledged the Rayman franchise as it celebrates its 30th anniversary and teased that something is planned in the future. Today, Insider Gaming has reported that a Rayman Remake is in development with a release planned in late 2026.
The Rayman Remake is under the codename ‘Steambot’. The outlet also reported that the development on this project has been positive.
Could We See Rayman 4?
Ubisoft has bigger aspirations for Rayman. According to Tom Henderson, they’d like to take the franchise further and make a Rayman 4. The project is planned, but it all depends on how codename Steambot performs once it is released.
If Rayman 4’s development gets the green light, the belief is that it will be released by the end of the 2020s. The last game in the franchise to release was Rayman Legends in 2013. It’s safe to say we are due for a new game.
In May, a Ubisoft job listing hinted at the possibility of a new game being in development. The position was for a Senior Game Designer, and since then, the publisher has not said anything else.
Would you be excited for a new Rayman game?
