The ongoing campaign from Square Enix in the past year has certainly delivered for Xbox users. Although harboring a strong relationship with PlayStation for decades, a new pledge to provide for Xbox has been an endeavor that the publisher has continued to meet on its promise. While it has seen success on PlayStation, it commented that there is more promise for multiplatform in its financial results.
As for what Square Enix has offered, Visions of Mana is one that was a monumental addition to Xbox. It recently was added to Xbox Game Pass this month as well. Additionally, Final Fantasy VII Remake is on the way to Xbox later in January. Square Enix also announced that the planned remake trilogy for its hit 1997 release is to hit Xbox as well as Nintendo Switch 2.
Now this week as part of Tokyo Game Show during the Xbox livestream, Square Enix surprised players with the addition of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. You can watch the new launch trailer in the video below:
“Once revered in legend, these mythical figures have returned, sowing chaos and conflict around the world. Unlike many other RPGs, which focus on a single protagonist or band of heroes, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven lets you play as multiple Emperors throughout the ages. At certain points in the story, or if your current protagonist falls in battle, you’ll be asked to select a new Emperor of Varennes,” the press release reads.
“As Emperor, you’ll take the fight to the Seven Heroes, but ridding the world of this dangerous threat is only one of your concerns. You’ll also have to expand your Empire, build your coffers to expand your capital city of Avalon, make alliances with other nations, protect your citizens and much more beyond. Each scenario is memorable and imaginative, and you can play through them in the order you like.”
