When it comes to The Crew, Ubisoft most recently offered it in a new form – The Crew: Motorfest. “The Crew Motorfest is by far the best in the series taking place in a beautiful, but small location.” Our 7.5/10 review also reads: “At times it feels like the game tries to do too much providing an overwhelming experience and for a racing game it feels like there is too much dialogue when participating in playlist events.”

Outside of The Crew: Motorfest, developer Ivory Tower continues to support the previous release, The Crew 2. We’ve seen this with next-generation updates like in 2022. However, what was always demanded is an offline mode. The original game for The Crew was shuttered stripping ownership of the title. This has since led to legal quarrel with some fans & Ubisoft in the courtroom.

Well, Ivory Tower announced that the latest update for The Crew 2 welcomes a new ‘Hybrid Mode’ which enables players to experience the game online as well as offline too. You can watch the segment of The Crew Showcase in the video below:

“With this update, players can now switch between the original online experience of The Crew 2 and a brand-new offline mode, letting you enjoy the game even without an internet connection. This represents a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to ensuring long-term access to The Crew 2 for all players,” Ivory Tower explains in the update post.

It also explains: “To bring your progression into Offline Mode, simply select ‘Export to Offline Save’ after your session online. This will create a copy of your multiplayer progression stored locally on your console or PC. […] If you’ve purchased vehicle packs, the Season Pass, or unlocked rewards via Ubisoft Connect, make sure to claim them in The House or any HQ while playing online. Once claimed, these items will be included in your exported offline save and available the next time you play without a connection.”

The Crew 2 is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
