gta 6 delay

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive seem confident so far that Grand Theft Auto 6 will release in November this year. According to a leak, the game might be digital-only when it releases.

According to a Polish media outlet, PPE reports via their sources that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not have a physical release to avoid any potential leaks regarding the story or any early gameplay. The outlet says that Take-Two Interactive will release GTA 6 first digitally on consoles, with the physical release coming later.

The outlet couldn’t firmly say if the physical edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 would come a few weeks after launch or in early 2027.

As usual, we should take any GTA 6 reports with a heavy grain of salt. Rockstar Games or Take-Two have not mentioned any of its plans for the release besides its date.

A report in early January came out from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier suggesting that the game is “not content complete”.

Are you looking forward to GTA 6?
