Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds To Add Red/Goro Majima/Arle To Its Roster, Mega Man Coming March 25th

Already with the release of Mario Kart World, Sega later that fall shipped Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and absolutely delivered what many fans were excited to see in the full release. “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds represents everything I wanted from a modern Sonic kart racer,” our 9/10 review reads. “It respects the series’ history while pushing the genre forward through innovative mechanics and thoughtful design. In the post-launch, Sega & Sonic Team has been piecing together a very strong roster for the game’s lineup of characters. DLC crossovers included the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants, TMNT Mutant Mayhem and Avatar Legends from Nickelodeon. There was also the holiday trio of NiGHTS, AiAi, IDW’s Tangle & Whisper as well included for free to as well as Pac-Man more recently.

Now with the anticipated Mega Man release also on the way, Sega & Sonic Team confirmed another trio of characters are coming in future updates to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. In that, April & May 2026 will welcome Red, Goro Majima, and Arle. You can watch the free update trailer in the video below:

Cruise along to the new ‘SEGA Racing & Variety’ music tracks!” Noted, proper dates for each character has yet to be confirmed outside of the targeted month window for each respected addition.

Not to mention, both companies also confirmed Mega Man is officially arriving on March 25th to all platforms as well. “The Blue Bomber comes to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Traverse Wily Castle in the Rush Roadstar as Mega Man or Proto Man! The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Mega Man Pack will also include additional sounds, emotes, and decals,” the website overview shares.
