2026 so far has already been an extremely eventful year for Japanese publisher Capcom. Among the strong start for gaming in general Capcom has shipped titles Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection. Not to mention the approaching launch for its new IP Pragmata which pushed its date ahead to April 17th as well.
However, the firm is also eager to explore other games within its library that has remained dormant. According to its 2025 Integrated Report it acknowledged franchises like Devil May Cry, Mega Man and Ace Attorney to be focuses on this effort. We’ve noticed a slight boost in additional attention like the Steam release of the Ace Attorney Series Complete Pack earlier this year.
Now on Steam, an additional four games are now available for some classic releases from Capcom – Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and Breath of Fire IV. All four titles have launched on the platform with a sale price of $4.99 each.
This is not the first instance that Steam welcomed a legacy title at the height of the IP in a modern setting. Back in 2024, Bungie launched the original 1994 release Marathon on Steam. The port came when things began to ramp up for the new live-service, extraction shooter which shipped in 2026. You can read the initial report by heading here.
