Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is reportedly being tested on PS4

Call of Duty 2026 hasn’t been revealed, but is reported to be titled ‘Modern Warfare 4’, continuing the reboot that started in 2019. According to a reliable Call of Duty insider, it’s being tested on PlayStation 4.

X (Twitter) user HeyImAlaix shared this today:

“Hearing that MW4 is currently being playtested on PS4”

Alaix has a positive track record when it comes to leaks about upcoming Call of Duty games and upcoming updates for current games. He has datamined content such as skins prior to that, which was true.

No other insider has said this, but it would not be a shock that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 would come to prior-generation consoles.

Black Ops 7 released on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. It seems Activision and Microsoft want to continue that trend, likely because of the player base on PS4 at least is still strong.

We are probably a couple of months away from officially learning what the future of Call of Duty has in store. We do know that at launch, it will not be included in Game Pass.
