How Long Is A Quiet Time?
A Quiet Time is a short mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 that should last no longer than 15 minutes if you do everything in a timely manner. It’s one of the shorter missions in this chapter of the game.
How To Unlock Gold Medal
There are three challenges in this mission that you need to complete in order to get the Gold Medal.
- Try to make amends with an old rival
- Catch Lenny in the act
- Don’t get arrested
A Quiet Time Guide
To begin the mission, you’ll want to meet Dutch at the Horseshoe Overlook, which should be marked ‘D’ on the map.
Arthur will ask Dutch if he found a buyer for the bonds they stole. During the cutscene, Lenny will show up in a panic. He will mention that Micah has been arrested for murder. Dutch will ask Arthur to go with Lenny to get Micah back, but things will take a turn in Valentine.
Follow Lenny as you head towards the Valentine Saloon. Go inside and head over to the bar and hit the action button to ‘Lean on Bar’. This will prompt a cutscene. After Arthur and Lenny talk, the NPC next to Arthur will intervene, and then you will get the option to Charm or Threaten the NPC.
After the conversation, Arthur and Lenny will get drunk. Once the scene is over, you will have to play drunk, making it hard to move. You’ll want to head upstairs and walk all the way around to the other side to find Lenny.
Next, Lenny goes wondering and you’ll need to find him at the Bar where there is a commotion going on. An NPC will start a fight with you again, from the looks of it. However, they will just start line dancing. A cutscene will appear with a first-person view of Arthur peeing. Walk back into the bar and find Lenny in the saloon. When trying to find Lenny, you will notice everyone looks like him since you’re drunk. You won’t exactly find Lenny. After trying to search for him, he will come to you and ask you what you’re doing.
Arthur and Lenny will get into a slap fight that catches everyone’s attention. Then Arthur will take the NPC from earlier and will drown him outside. You can choose to keep dunking him and eventually kill him. The police will now show up, and you will have to run drunk. This part is important for the Gold Medal, as you’ll eventually have to jump over a fence, and if you don’t, they will catch you. The mission will still be completed otherwise.
If you do get arrested, you’ll be let go, and Arthur will rest outside before fully healing from being hungover.
You will now have completed A Quiet Time, a very easy mission in Red Dead Redemption 2.
