Last year, Sonic Team & Sega rolled out Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Rectify Gaming scored ita 9/10. “It respects the series’ history while pushing the genre forward through innovative mechanics and thoughtful design. For anyone seeking a kart racer that prioritizes fun, variety, and replayability, CrossWorlds delivers on all fronts.” The most recent post-launch promised a free content campaign including NiGHTS, AiAi, And IDW’s Tangle & Whisper then.

Additionally, there were other featured characters that were also injected into the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds roster as well. In mid April, Angry Birds’ Red was welcomed to the game. By the end of April, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s Goro Majima was also introduced. And the most recent in late May welcomed Puyo Puyo’s Arle as well.

Now at Summer Game Fest this week, a new Season Pass 2 is on the way and Sega has teased the first two crossovers – Godzilla & Evangelion. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“The trailer showed a sneak peek of what players can expect in Year Two of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Players can look forward to exciting new content such as the Godzilla DLC Pack and Evangelion DLC Pack, featuring intense courses, larger-than-life characters, and more! Season Pass Two will include a total of six new DLC Packs, with more details to be revealed later in 2026,” Sega wrote in the post.

Other promised DLC is also showcased as well. Partnered with Nickelodeon alike SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem crossover was revealed sharing a July 2026 launch window. And the Avatar: Legends pack was also presented with an October 2026 release also.
