Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Welcomes SpongeBob SquarePants, Now Available

Recently, Sega confirmed that beloved characters NiGHTS, AiAi, And IDW’s Tangle & Whisper are all scheduled to release well into February 2026. Additionally, the season pass lineup is showing to be stacked with the likes of Minecraft Steve already available. Not to mention free additions like Ichiban Kasuga, Joker, and Hatsune Miku.

Now this week, the next promised paid DLC for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is here – SpongeBob SquarePants is now playable alongside Patrick Star and an assortment of in-game items themed after the Nickelodeon show. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:

Race through the Bikini Bottom course, visit the Krusty Krab, and tear up the ocean floor in the Patty Wagon. The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – SpongeBob SquarePants Pack also includes additional sounds, emotes, and decals,” the DLC overview reads on the official website.

This weekend, there will also be a limited time event themed after the new addition to Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. Listed rewards includes the ‘Legendary Fry Cook’ Title Card, ‘Sea Dog Kit’ Gadget, ‘Fog Horn’ Horn, and decals of SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton. The event runs from 11/20 to 11/23.
