The latest update for Doom on the Nintendo Switch adds motion controls to the game on top of the standard analog controls.
The motion controls for this version of the game is implemented with the gyroscope built into the Joy Cons. When using that on top of analog controls can help assist with more precise aiming. As well as implementing motion melee with this added feature.

In version 1.11, along with the new gyro motion controls, the update will also feature a new party system for multiplayer. To make it easier to group up with friends and hop right into the multiplayer version of the game. And as well adding a new icon for the game on the Switch’s main menu.
As this update was announced a week ago, the sudden added feature is a nice surprise for the game.
