PlatinumGames new IP Astral Chain announced

PlatinumGames had a special surprise in today’s Nintendo Direct in the form of a trailer for their new IP Astral Chain. In typical Platinum fashion, the trailer for the game is quite wild and you can view it below. The official game description as per Nintendo’s Youtube channel states: “As part of a police special forces unit in a multi-cultural futuristic city, players work together with a humanoid special weapon, Legion, in a synergetic action system of battle and exploration.”

The trailer gives off some serious cyberpunk vibes, and the action game genre is a real specialty of Platinum, so this game should surely delight fans of Bayonetta. Speaking of Bayonetta, it was mentioned that Bayonetta 3 was still in development so we should hopefully hear more about that sometime soon.

Astral Chain will be available August 30th, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
