Another announcement coming from Sony’s State of Play presentation today revealed that Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky will be entering the virtual reality platform later this Summer for both PlayStation VR as well as Steam VR.

Rather than the game’s developer creating a separate title specified for VR, Hello Games will add a new update to the game allowing players to experience the game with the option of using a VR headset. The upcoming update will apply to both the base game and also NEXT for all current owners of the game for no extra charge.

On top of the fresh update inbound for No Man’s Sky later this year, a physical edition for the game which offers the new VR experience along with the upcoming Beyond update set to release in the coming months will also be included.
