Publisher Studio Wildcard, most known from the online survival game ARK: Survival Evolved, announced a few days back that a new expansion for the open-world dinosaur inhabited title will be dropping today. Titled Valguero, the new expansion offers a new map the shares the name of the free update and introduces the new and feather-covered theropod.
Valguero is said to be a 63km map which is shared between eight different and diverse biomes that players can explore in the new location. From Twin Peaks to Skeleton Gorge, those who plan to engulf themselves in Valguero are warned to tread lightly as these new regions host new threats as well.
Some of the showcased locations as seen from trailer previews the narrow, interconnecting caves system that lives within Valguero. Atop of that also touches upon the abandoned ruins of the survivors that once occupied the new location ages before.
The newly introduced Deinonychus as deprived from the description reads to hold similarities to the more distinctive raptor, but however does have a new characteristic to use walls and ledges to get a height advantage over its prey. Players can also be confronted by the three legendary creatures that live within Valguero: pitting survivors against a Manticore , Manticore, and Dragon in the same boss arena.
Valguero is currently available for PC with plans to drop later this July for both Xbox and PlayStation versions of the title. As for Nintendo Switch and PC, it is said the platforms are not expected to receive the new expansion in the coming future.
