When it comes to Enhance Games’ Tetris Effect, many fans of the series could argue that the virtual reality iteration of the classic 1984 title could possibly be the best out of all the other versions that released in the past 30+ years following. The biggest concern surrounding the title however, was that the game was exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation VR headset, which spawned the question when other platforms would receive the game also.
In a recent announcement from the game’s studio earlier this week, Enhanced Games finally went public that the game will be coming to PC, next Tuesday to be precise. I should make it clear now that some fans might not be happy, but Tetris Effect will be coming to PC through the Epic Games Store.
As like many titles that launch on Epic Games’ storefront, Effect will also be doing the same with a 20% pre-purchase deal. Atop of the early deal, a Digital Deluxe DLC pack will also be free for a short time following the game’s launch on PC. The pack includes seven samples of the game’s soundtrack and ten game-themed wallpapers for your desktop.
Enhance went to highlight some “Key Features” for the approaching PC launch, sharing that using the VR headset is not a requirement and can play the game through your desktop. A new “Zone” mechanic has been added to allow players to freeze the game to help avoid the more hairy situations. The PC version will also include over 30 different stages and will support 4K resolution & graphical settings that the PSVR counterpart cannot implement.

Tetris Effect will be coming to PC on June 23, 2019 via the Epic Games Store; support extending to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
