This coming November will mark the two year mark since the release of Star Wars: Battlefront II. And while many have already abandoned the game following the rocky launch that Electronic Arts is notoriously known for right next to Anthem, those who stayed have witnessed the game’s turnaround with consistent patches and occasional updates introducing new features to the title.
Looking towards this coming Fall, developer DICE revealed that two new game modes will be inbound to release for the action shooter: Instant Action and Co-Op.

What exactly is Instant Acton? Well according to the updated 2019 roadmap for the game, the first of two new modes will offer the experience of traditional Capital Supremacy with the option to play at your own leisure. With the initial game mode already live, the upcoming Instant Action will support the same maps (Kashyyyk, Kamino, Naboo, Geonosis, and Felucia) when arriving in September.
And before we move to the second mode, the refreshed content layout reveals that the planet of Felucia will be receiving it’s own map which is scheduled to arrive this September. The planet was originally introduced in the third film of the Prequel trilogy, Episode III: Return of the Sith.
As for the second titular Co-op mode, the game type as expected will pair players up to groups of four as either the Galactic Republic or Separatist Alliance fight off in PvE action. Alike Instant Action, the team-based mode will also support the same five maps at launch in September.
The roadmap also details that new content will be inbound for the title rounding close towards the release of the ninth installment of the series with Rise of the Skywalker. The content has been detailed to be a seasonal-organized event, but no other information regarding when exactly that will arrive has been shared.
Already mentioning the game’s near two year anniversary, now would be a best time to read up on our review for the title if you have yet to play it: you can do so by going here.
