Just last week Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the company will be hosting its last State of Play livestreamed show that coming Tuesday for 2019. Upon the announcement, there were no specific titles or projects that were promised to be shown during the presentation. Rectify Gaming predicted that due to the limited time left for this console generation and the publisher’s planned release for the title to release exclusively on PlayStation 4, that Sucker Punch Production’s Ghost of Tsushima would be attending at the show with some detail on the project.
And while not exactly revealing any new information on the game in particular, the title was present at the PlayStation show with a short teaser shown off with the rest of it said “to be continued” later this week during the 2019 Game Awards. You can watch the short video below:
Directly following the game’s teaser at today’s State of Play, Game Awards host Geoff Keighley tweeted that the game will be present at the annual awards show with the more to be revealed this Thursday. Keighley went on to share that the coming trailer will be the longest of all announcements that will be shown throughout the ceremony. “This is our longest trailer in the show on Thursday,” Keighley discloses in the thread.
Repeating from before, the amount of time that is left for this generation of consoles is just short of a year now with both Project Scarlett and PlayStation 5 paved for next Holiday season. So aside from more unseen footage of the Feudal Japan-set title being presented later this week, we might also see a potential release date for the game further on in 2020.
