Two special editions for Street Fighter V have been revealed at the Japanese store for the game. Coming in at 12,990 and 11,990 Yen, which translate to roughly $99 and $109 USD, the editions include an art book, DVD about the Shadow secret society of Fei as well as some in game costumes for characters and in game currency.
The in game currency used, called Zenny, will be earned as you play and allow you to unlock additional characters if you don’t buy the season pass. The $109 edition, called the Volcanic Edition, will include a number of options including an art book, DVD, Vital box and a number of in game character costumes and in game currency. The $99 Valuable Edition comes with the same items and only fewer costumes and in game currency. All of the details can be seen on the official Japanese store.Â
The prices on the editions isn’t too crazy, but we also don’t get that much for $100 either. With no way of knowing how much Zenny will cost in game playing time, we’ll have to wait and see if overall the prices correlate to a worth while investment for the money. We also checked with Capcom to see if these editions will be coming to the west as right now they are only available in Japan.
Street Fighter V is set to release on PS4 and PC exclusively on February 18th, 2016.
